Position Descriptions
For
Kappa Sigma Alumni Volunteers

1. District Grand Master (DGM)
• Represents the Supreme Executive Committee to all Chapters in District
• Works with Assistant DGM team to develop long-term goals and strategy for Chapters
• Ensures that all Chapters in District are complying with Kappa Sigma policies
• Serves as a role model for undergraduates
• Conducts district-wide officer retreats and attends Leadership Conferences and Conclaves
• Receives yearly budget of $1,000

Approximate Time Commitment: 8-15 hours per month

2. Assistant District Grand Master (ADGM)
• Assist District Grand Master in all official duties and responsibilities within a specific district
• Assigned to either Champion Quest (rush), Brothers In Action (membership development), or A Greater Cause (community service)

Approximate Time Commitment: 6-10 hours per month

3. Chapter Alumnus Advisor (AA)
• Provide consistent advising support to one particular Chapter
• Work with a four-man Alumnus Advisor EC team to help provide continual advising support and "leadership by example"
• Work with DGM and Grand Master to ensure that all Fraternity policies are followed
• Encourage the growth and development of the Chapter through yearly officer retreats, goal setting workshops, and Chapter programming
• Attend at least one Chapter meeting a month, as well as the initiation ceremonies
• Serve as a role-model and advisor to undergraduate Grand Master, and help recognize outstanding leadership and teamwork in the Chapter

Approximate Time Commitment: 2-4 hours per week

4. Assistant Alumnus Advisor (AAA)

AAA-GP
• Work with Chapter Grand Procurator to ensure effective administration of the Chapter operations, including work with the committee system, Code of Conduct, and judicial affairs

Approximate Time Commitment 2-4 hours per month

AAA-GMC
• Work with Chapter Grand Master of Ceremonies and Pledge Educator in implementing a meaningful, enjoyable, and safe membership experience…promote "Brotherhood for Life"

Approximate Time Commitment 2-4 hours per month

AAA-GS
• Work with Chapter Grand Scribe and Alumni Relations Chairman on implementing effective public relations, communications and alumni relations

Approximate Time Commitment 2-4 hours per month

AAA-GT
• Work with Chapter Grand Treasurer and Fundraising Chairman to ensure proper financial management, effective bill collection and communication, and general financial planning
