We are excited to announce the installation of the 432nd Chapter of Kappa Sigma! Please join us in welcoming the Upsilon-Chi Chapter in New York, NY!

The 53 founding fathers were initiated on Saturday, February 12, 2022. Brothers in attendance for the installation included: Worthy Grand Master of Ceremonies, Adam T. Poe (Kappa-Mu, Tennessee Technological University, ’06), and Director of Recruitment & Expansion Leo J. Brown, IV (Theta-Theta, Western Kentucky University, ’04).

The installation was coordinated by District Grand Master Adam Zaher (Rho-Sigma, St. John’s University-Staten Island, ’11) with the assistance of Alumnus Advisor Christopher H. Lai (Sigma-Epsilon, Hunter College, ’12). There were also several New York City volunteer officers in attendance including: Brandon Y. Leung (Gamma-Upsilon, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, ’11), Raffaele Montuori (Rho-Sigma, St. John’s University-Staten Island, ’13), Mark C. Lipari (Rho-Sigma, St. John’s University-Staten Island, ’12), Kyle Tan-Kyi (Gamma-Zeta, New York University, ’17), Joseph A. Losinno (Rho-Sigma, St. John’s University-Staten Island, ’14), and Michael C. Zarnowski (Upsilon-Kappa, West Long Branch, New Jersey, ’18).

The Ritualist for the installation was Sawyer I. Coleman (Rho-Omega, Stevens Institute of Technology, ’14).

The Upsilon-Chi Brothers participated in over 1,600 hours of service to both local and national causes. Their relentless work and duty to serve their fellow man exemplifies their commitment to the core tenets of a Kappa Sigma: Scholarship, Leadership, Fellowship, and Service.

A huge thank you to the following Chapters for their part in the installation: Gamma-Zeta (New York University), Rho-Omega (Stevens Institute of Technology), Rho-Sigma (St. John’s University-Staten Island), and Tau-Delta (Pace University).

We will continue working to achieve Jackson’s Dream and spread our Order across North America! Congratulations to the newly installed Brothers and to the future success of the Upsilon-Chi Chapter!
