Brother  R. Julian Gallo, (Rho-Omega, Stevens Institute of Technology, ’12) serves as Kappa Sigma’s A Greater Cause Commissioner. A Greater Cause is Kappa Sigma’s service initiative to give back to our communities. As a volunteer, Brother Gallo has served as a DGM in both the Philadelphia and NYC areas over the past 6 years as well as a member of the AGC Commission for the last 4 years. Brother Gallo took a moment out of his busy schedule for a quick interview:

What is your professional title and employer outside of the Order?

“I’m the Technical Program Manager at Audible.”

What is your favorite Kappa Sigma event you attended?

“When I attended [Grand] Conclave as a pledge in 2011—that was the moment I knew that I wanted to be a Kappa Sigma for life.”

Why do you volunteer for Kappa Sigma?

“I had an incredible undergraduate experience and many mentors and role models that brought so much value to my life. I just wanted to give back in hopes to do the same for someone else.”

What’s the best advice for Kappa Sigma Chapters that you can give?

“Have fun. At the end of the day we’re a male social fraternity, if you aren’t having fun, you’re doing something wrong. Also, the Fraternity operates a lot like a business; take advantage of the opportunities to be a leader and make your business as successful as possible.”

Thank you, Brother Gallo and Kappa Sigma brothers stand with you as you lead our A Greater Cause program! AEKΔB!
