Both roles offer the unique opportunity to play a direct role in shaping the future of North America’s largest college social fraternity. Colony Development Coordinator
Kappa Sigma is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Colony Development Coordinator to lead the establishment, growth, and development of new Colonies nationwide. This role is critical to the Fraternity’s growth strategy and ensures each Colony is equipped with the tools, training, and support
necessary to achieve successful installation as a Chapter.
What You’ll Do:
As the primary staff lead for colonies, you will:
- Partner with the Chief Recruitment Officer and Area Recruitment Managers to plan and execute on-campus recruitment efforts for new Colonies.
- Recruit, train, and engage alumni volunteers, including building advisor teams for each Colony.
- Coordinate and execute Colony kickoff retreats in collaboration with alumni and internal commissions.
- Provide ongoing development support to Colonies, including guidance on operations, officer development, and compliance standards.
- Monitor Colony progress through the established roadmap and ensure adherence to minimum performance benchmarks.
- Support the preparation and submission of charter petitions to the Supreme Executive Committee.
- Lead the planning and execution of Chapter installations, including logistics, travel coordination, and Ritual events.
- Develop and implement public relations plans for installations, including University engagement and alumni outreach.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment while managing multiple projects
- Willingness to travel as needed for recruitment and installations
- Candidates must be Initiates of Kappa Sigma Fraternity
Compensation & Benefits
In addition to base salary (salaried employee) and performance bonuses, individual will receive health and dental insurance benefits, travel, and phone expense reimbursement.

Area Recruitment Manager
This is a full-time remote role for an Area Recruitment Manager based in Charlottesville, VA, with full-time travel during the academic year. The Area Recruitment Manager will manage and implement the Fraternity’s recruitment strategies, coordinate recruitment efforts across multiple Chapters, and identify potential opportunities for growth. The Area Recruitment Manager will also train and develop Chapter recruitment teams and communicate with the Fraternity’s leadership.
What You’ll Do:
As one of five Area Recruitment Managers you will:
- Oversee and assist the recruitment efforts of Chapters & Colonies in one of five Areas of the Fraternity.
- Travel full-time to Chapters & Colonies in your given Area to support their active recruitment efforts, recruitment events, and plans for future recruitment.
- Provide ongoing support in all areas of recruitment to Chapters & Colonies throughout the year.
- Monitor recruitment progress and keep contact with Chapters & Colonies in your given Area.
Qualifications:
- Experience in recruitment and/or sales
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage and motivate teams
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be willing to travel
- Candidates must be Initiates of Kappa Sigma Fraternity
