On October 10, 2026, the Epsilon-Chi Chapter at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette returned to the rolls of Kappa Sigma with 54 new Initiates!

Originally founded in 1956, the Fraternity is proud to welcome back the Epsilon-Chi Chapter so the Brothers in Lafayette can continue to build the legacy of this historic Chapter.

Worthy Grand Treasurer Lionel L. de la Houssaye, Jr. (Theta-Rho, McNeese State University, ’83) represented the Supreme Executive Committee, and was joined by Bayou West District Grand Master William M. Griffiths (Theta-Rho, McNeese State University, ’18) and Alumnus Advisor Travis J. Callais (Epsilon-Chi, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, ’98).

A special thank you to the Brothers of the Epsilon, Epsilon-Gamma, Omicron-Chi, Pi-Alpha, and Rho-Theta Chapters for supporting the Installation and thank you to Ritual Commission Member Kristian B. Griffiths (Theta-Rho, McNeese State University, ’14) for coordinating the Ritual teams.

The Installation was also attended by Technology Commissioner Michael K. Griffiths (Theta-Rho, McNeese State University, ’87), who served as the Colony’s initial District Grand Master; and South Area Recruitment Manager Alex Zulueta (Lambda-Epsilon, University of Central Florida, ’22), who represented the Kappa Sigma Staff.

A huge congratulations to the newest Brothers of Kappa Sigma at the Epsilon-Chi Chapter; the Fraternity looks forward to a bright future at Lafayette, and is eager to see the good work of Epsilon-Chi’s newest Founding Fathers.
