Dale R. Dombrowski (Rho-Omega, Stevens Institute of Technology, ’12) – Southeast Texas DistrictSystem Validation Engineer, Intel CorporationI have yet to attend a conclave! I was planning on Leadership Conference in Denver, but very excited to be in Vegas in January.I volunteer because I want to ensure that every brother gets all they can out of Kappa Sigma. I want to make sure that every brother’s experience is a positive one free of hazing that lives up to the Kappa Sigma standard.

  1. Build ritual proficiency into chapter bylaws and regularly have formal meetings. Knowing ritual helps show that you joined Kappa Sigma and not some other fraternity. It helps show that every brother stands for something and keeps each chapter grounded.
  2. Set chapter goals. Whether you hit them or not is not important (of course you should try). What it does is keep your chapter from stagnating and falling into bad behaviors that get your charter revoked (i.e. hazing). You need to be accountable to yourselves.
