Perhaps the only position on the Supreme Executive Committee (SEC) that’s not self-explanatory, is the Worthy Grand Master of Ceremonies (WGMC). Within a chapter,  the responsibilities of the Grand Master of Ceremonies (GMC) revolve around growing our Order through Champion Quest and recruitment, as well as, developing our Pledges into Brothers, and our Brothers into leaders. At the international level, this is no different.

Last month, at the 73rd Biennial Grand Conclave in Nashville, TN, Brother Adam T. Poe (Kappa-Mu, Tennessee Technological University, ’06) was elected to serve as our WGMC for the 2021 – 2023 biennium. Brother Poe doesn’t shy away from a challenge and is no stranger to leadership. Professionally, he is the President of Omada Leadership Development Training. He is now taking on the enormous task of growing Kappa Sigma’s footprint to provide deserving men around North America with the opportunity to participate in our great Brotherhood. With a bold, new plan to dominate our campuses, Brother Poe is asking Brothers to be all-in on Champion Quest and Kappa Sigma.

Brother Poe’s love of the fraternity fuels his passion to volunteer. As one of the newest members of the SEC, Brother Poe says, “I volunteer within  Kappa Sigma because of the relationships. The benefits of our Brotherhood have enhanced my life so much more than I could have ever expected, and it is my duty to pay that forward to future generations.”

Brother Poe has been an engaged Kappa Sigma volunteer for many years and over that time, he’s seen Kappa Sigma prosper.  Since his initiation, his favorite events are the 72nd Biennial Grand Conclave in Charlottesville, VA, where we celebrated Kappa Sigma’s 150th Anniversary, and the annual Champions Weekend a celebration of our FACE-winning chapters with an exclusive, all-expense paid, trip to Charlottesville, VA. While Brother Poe and the rest of the SEC continue to drive the Fraternity to new heights for this biennium, the undergraduate brothers and their experience is never far from the forefront of his mind.  Brother Poe encourages all undergraduate Brothers to “Take 100% ownership of your goals, think BIG, and think differently. Do something bold that will advance your chapter in a positive manner.”

Thank you for your dedicated service, Brother Poe, and good luck! AEKDB
