Kappa Sigma is proud to announce the Supreme Executive Committee has voted to reestablish the Rho-Upsilon Chapter at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, and this past Saturday, April 26, 2025, they were reinstalled as our 359th Chapter. On May 5, 2024, the Rho-Upsilon Colony was kicked off and over the last year has worked hard to achieve their Chapter. To achieve their charter, just this year, the 34 men of Rho-Upsilon donated over 1,100 hours of community service, and completed multiple workshops over the Code of Conduct, Champion Quest, and time management.
These Brothers were joined by 2006 Man of the Year, Hall of Honor Inductee, and Past Worthy Grand Treasurer Martin C. Petersen (Rho, Arizona State University, ’66), Assistant Director of Recruitment W. Matthew Griffiths (Theta-Rho, McNeese State University, ’18), and Ritualist Kristian B. Griffiths (Theta-Rho, McNeese State University, ’14) representing the Fraternity. District Grand Master Emmett J. Jones (Theta-Upsilon, Miami University, ’22) represented the District.
We would also like to thank the Brothers of the following Chapters who attended the Installation as ritual teams:
Theta-Lambda – Texas State University
Lambda-Psi – St. Mary’s University, Texas
Rho-Psi – Corpus Christi TX
Kappa-Epsilon – The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley
Brothers everywhere wish Rho-Upsilon the best as they begin their road to excellence and offer our congratulations.
