On Saturday, April 8th, 2017 representatives from the Kappa Sigma Fraternity volunteered at the Stretch 4 Vets event held on the USS Iowa in Los Angeles, California. The event was run by Embrace (Healing Our Heroes Homes), one of the beneficiaries of the Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Campaign. In attendance from Kappa Sigma Fraternity were Worthy Grand Procurator Toby Taylor, District Grand Master Blake Baxter, and undergraduate brothers from the Delta-Nu Chapter (UCLA) and the Theta-Beta Chapter (Cal State Long Beach).  During the event, the brothers presented Embrace’s Founder Sean Sheppard with a ceremonial check to represent the $35,000 gift given by Kappa Sigma’s Military Heroes Campaign late last year.
Sean Sheppard, Founder of Embrace said,
“Kappa Sigma Fraternity continues to be a volunteer force of nature whenever Embrace serves the community. This time, the chapters from California State University Long Beach and UCLA ensure that our Stretch 4 Vets event on the deck of the USS Iowa went smoothly by setting up, breaking down and cleaning up. We deeply value our relationship and can’t thank these young men enough.”
