Congratulations to Brother Michael A. Suco (Lambda-Gamma, Jacksonville State University, ’87) on his election by the Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED’s Board of Directors to serve as President and CEO, beginning on August 1st of this year. Brother Suco will become the 8th President and CEO of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED when outgoing CEO, John Sherman retires in July. Currently, Brother Suco serves as the Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED’s Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer.

Coca-Cola has been a well-known American staple in diets and pop-culture for over 130 years; since its founding on January 29, 1892. Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED is the third largest privately held Coca-Cola bottling company in North America. 

Brother Suco earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration at  Jacksonville State University, where he joined the Lambda-Gamma Chapter of Kappa Sigma in 1987. Following his graduation, Brother Succo  began his career at  The Ernest and Julio Gallo Winery in 1991 and subsequently joined the Coca-Cola Company in 1996 as a Market Development Manager. In 2000, Brother Suco joined the Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED and has served in numerous management roles over the ensuing 22 years including his current role as Chief Commercial Officer. 

In addition to his leadership within the Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Brother Suco is a leader in his community and beyond through his service on Boards including Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Georgia Beverage Association, the Hispanic Business Council, Oglethorpe University, Fiesta Cultural Festival, the YMCA of Greater Birmingham, and the Petroleum and Convenience Marketers of Alabama.
